Steve Weisse - 4th Trumpet

Originally from the Boston area, Steve received a BS from Northeastern University, and a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Union College.  In addition to playing professionally in both Boston and the Capital District, Steve has performed with many local groups, including the Capital Region Wind Ensemble, the Music Company Orchestra, the Colonie Memorial Band  the Gloversville Civic Band, and the Glens Falls and Schenectady Symphonies.

Steve also directs and performs with his own group, the Signature Brass Quintet (www.signaturebrassquintet.com), and can be found freelancing with other local area groups such as Tri-City Brass, Pop Rock Circus (formerly Vehicle), the Tim Olsen Big Band, as well as playing in pit orchestras for local theatre and musical productions  around the Capital District, including Proctor’s Theatre, Cohoes Music Hall, Troy Savings Bank Music Hall and others. 

Steve is a proud member of Schenectady local 85-133 and Albany local 14 and enjoys playing pieces from the JTBB’s huge classic big band repertoire.
